Crochet Lalaloopsy Hat

Pattern:

Chain 4, Sl-st to the first ch to make a loop.

Round 1: Ch3, 12 dc into the loop. Sl-st to the top of ch3.

Round 2: Ch3, dc in the same st as ch3, 2dc in each st around. Sl-st to the top of ch3.

Round 3: Ch3, dc in the same st as ch3, *dc in the next st, 2dc into the next st. Repeat * around. Sl-st to the top of ch3.

Round 4: Ch3, dc in the same st as ch3, *dc in the next 2 sts, 2dc into the next st. Repeat * around. Sl-st to the top of ch3.

Round 5: Ch3, dc in the same st as ch3, *dc in the next 3 sts, 2dc into the next st. Repeat * around. Sl-st to the top of ch3.

Round 6: Ch3, dc in the same st as ch3, *dc in the next 4 sts, 2dc into the next st. Repeat * around. Sl-st to the top of ch3.

Round 7: Ch3, dc in the same st as ch3, *dc in the next 5 sts, 2dc into the next st. Repeat * around. Sl-st to the top of ch3.

Round 8: Ch3, dc in the same st as ch3, *dc in the next 6 sts, 2dc into the next st. Repeat * around. Sl-st to the top of ch3.

Round 9: Ch3, dc in the same st as ch3, *dc in the next 7 sts, 2dc into the next st. Repeat * around. Sl-st to the top of ch3.

Round 10: Ch3, dc in each st around. Repeat * around. Sl-st to the top of ch3.

Round 11: Ch3, dc in each st around. Repeat * around. Sl-st to the top of ch3.

Round 12: Ch3, dc in each st around. Repeat * around. Sl-st to the top of ch3. Fastened off.

Using beige yarn, attached to the st where you fastened off the first color.

Round 13-21. Repeat Round 11

Round 22. Ch2, hdc in each st around. Sl-st to the top of ch2. Fasten off.

Yellow Crochet Lalaloopsy Hat

For the curly hair:

Use the same yarn as the crown. Make 2 pieces.

Strand 1: Ch70, 2dc on the 3^rd chain from the hook. 3dc in each ch across. Sl-st to the ch1.

Strand 2: Ch70, 2dc on the 3^rd chain from the hook. 3dc in each ch across. Sl-st to the ch1.

Strand 3: Ch70, 2dc on the 3^rd chain from the hook. 3dc in each ch across. Sl-st to the ch1. Fasten off.

Sew on left and right side of round 3

For the eyes:

Use a large-sized black button for the eyes.

For the blush:

Use darker shade of pink. Make 2 pieces.

Ch4, make 10 dc in first chain. Fasten off. Sew one in each cheek.

Using black yarn in creating lips.

Note:

For a larger size: You can increase the number of dc in * after round 9 until you arrived the desired hat/head circumference size before doing round 10.

For a smaller size: Once you reach the desired head circumference you may skip some rounds then proceed to round 10.

Modeled by our son, who's a McQueen addict. Daddy Allan added his name at the back of the hat. And instead of two wheels, he just made a big one. Of course, the little boy loves it. Just look at his smile :)

Latest Crochet Creations and more...

Hi everyone!

It's been a long while but I know Daddy Allan always fill your eyes with yummy foods right? Now let me share our latest crochet creations so please keep your eyes wide open :)

These made us busy the past weeks, aside from my KL trip. We receive many orders before my trip that I need to stop accepting orders until I came back. As usual, I made the boots and booties, chucks and sandals, and headbands with flowers. While Daddy A, made the hats.

I hope one day I can hire one who will help us crochet so I don't need to turn down orders. Because as much as possible, I don't want to break a mommy's heart :) But soon we will have a little helper, as Matt is showing interest in crocheting.

And speaking of our little boy, lately, he loves taking videos of him singing. I uploaded some of his videos in Facebook. He sings nursery rhymes with action and even love songs, which his teacher wonders if he's already been broken hearted. Haha!

I just hope we have an apogee duet so we can easily record his voice in our tablet or phone just like professionals do. We encourage him to sing because I can see he loves it and who knows he may be a good singer one day.

Anyway, for now I will have to content my self taking videos of him. Time flies and there maybe a time he will be too shy for this, right?

Crochet Pacifier Souvenir

It's been a while since I posted about our crochet creations here. Like always, I have been so busy with my everyday duties. Thanks to Daddy A for keeping our family blog alive through his yummy recipes and amazing photos (you owe me one on this dear, hehe).

Now let me share our latest crochet creation that will definitely make your party be remembered.

Crochet Pacifier Souvenir

These were actually a rushed MTO from a one of our returning clients. I was in doubt if we can finish all the 50 pieces of these in less than a week, but we did. Additional 30 pieces were placed just two days before the deadline and yes, we made it too.

The size of each crochet pacifier is approximately 2.5" x 2". The nipples were stuffed with fiber fill. The crochet pacifier has 3 parts that were sewn together. After sewing together, Daddy A attached the key chain holder then I put the ribbons. Doing these gave us sleep less at night and these are all for the love of crocheting.

And you know what's the best part of these whole labor? It was when the customer thank you and appreciate your work. That's priceless for us.

Next time, I'll try to post a free pattern for this. So watch out for it.

Crochet Character Hats

A mommy ordered these three character hats.

Crochet Thomas, Donald Duck and McQueen Car Hats

Character hats are the most difficult to do of all the hats we are crocheting. This is because we rely only on the photo alone, without any pattern. Like this Donald Duck hat.

This is the first time we crochet a Donald Duck hat and the biggest challenge is to crochet its beak.

This is one of our best seller character hats the crochet McQueen Car hat.

Since we made one for our son, orders for this crochet McQueen car hat keep on coming. Can't blame them because this is indeed cute and a lot of little boys love McQueen like our Matthew Andrei. By the way, Daddy posted a free crochet pattern of crochet McQueen Car hat.

Crochet Newborn Set

It's been a LONG while since I post about our crochet MTOs. Finally, I have this time to post about our latest creation.

This is our over cute crochet newborn set.

It consist of the crochet hat with ribbon or lace.

A pair of crochet boots with ribbon/lace too.

And a pair of mittens with lace.

This is the first time we do a pair of mittens and it looks so cute right. By the way, Daddy Allan made that mittens and hat, while I crochet the pair of booties sole and shoe top. Daddy finished it with that ruffles up.

Crochet Converse Blue and Red/White Striped

Happy Friday! Let me show the crochet converse booties I made.

I have done many crochet converse booties but this is so far the most difficult pair I made. As you can see, half is blue and the other half of the booties is red and white stripe.That's why it took me days to figure it out but still I managed to finish the converse booties requested by our client.

I will try to make a pattern and post here. I am not an expert in writing but I will do my best to write down the pattern that you can easily understand. So stay tune!

Crochet Hello Kitty Booties

Today, I will share with you the long overdue pattern for our Crochet Hello Kitty Booties. But let me remind you that I am no expert in writing crochet pattern so please bear with me.

Crochet Hello Kitty Booties

You will need:

Hook size 3.5mm

Worsted Light Weight Yarns (color of your choice you need for the booties and hello kitty face)

Pearl Buttons

Tapestry needle

Finished booties length is approximate 4.5" for the following pattern.

How to crochet:

Booties:

R1. Ch18. 2sc in 2^nd ch from hook. Sc in next 6 chs, hdc in next 4 chs, dc in next 5 chs. 6dc in last ch. Working along opposite side of row. Dc in next 5 sts, hdc in next 4 sts, sc in next 6 sts. 2sc in the same st as 1^st2sc. Join with sl st.

R2. Ch2. Hdc in the same st as ch2. Hdc in next 16sts. 2hdc in next sts, hdc in next 2 sts, 2hdc in next 2sts, hdc in next 16sts. 2hdc in last st. Join with sl st.

R3. Ch2. Hdc in same st as ch2. 2hdc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 15 sts, 2hdc in next 4 sts, hdc in next 2 sts, 2hdc in next 4 sts, hdc in next 15 sts. 2hdc in last 2 sts. Join with sl st.

R4. Working in back loop only. Ch2. Hdc in same st and around until last st. Join with sl st.

R5-6. Work in both loop. Ch2. Hdc in same st and around until last st. Join with sl st.

R7. Ch2. Hdc in same st as ch2. hdc in next 22 sts, dc2tog, dc in next 12 sts, dc2tog, hdc in next 19 sts. Join with sl st.

R8. Ch2. Hdc in same st as ch2, hdc in next 5 sts, hdc2tog, hdc in next 15 sts, hdc2tog, hdc in next st, dc2tog 4x, hdc in next st, hdc2tog, hdc in next 13 sts. Hdc2tog, hdc in next 4 sts. Join with sl st.

R9. Ch2. Hdc in same st as ch2. Hdc in next 22 sts, dc2tog 4x, hdc in next 17 sts. Join with sl st.

R10. Ch1. Sc in same st as ch1. Sc in next 21 sts, hdc2tog 4x, sc in next 14 sts. Join with sl st. Fasten off.

Make 2 pieces.

Right Strap:

R1. From the center back (with booties facing you). Count 12 sts to the left and sl st to that st. Ch2. Hdc (to the left right back to the center) in the next 24 sts. Ch2, turn.

R2. Hdc back until the the top of Ch2 in R1.Ch16, hdc in the 3^rd ch from hook down until the 1^st ch of Ch16.

R3. Do not turn. Sc in last hdc of R2 back to the 1^st hdc of R2 and 2 sc (as edging) down the last hdc in R1. Sl st to the st next to the last hdc in R1. Fasten off.

Now, we need to do hdc to the the other side of the strap (the Ch16 that we did in R2). Start in the st next to where you sl st in R1. Sl st on that st and do the 2 sc (as edging) up (make it the same like you did in R3 down). Hdc in the free stitches of the Ch16 in R2 up until the last st. Ch4, sl st to the other side to form a ring. Ch1, turn and make 4sc into the ring. Join with sl st. Fasten off.

Left Strap:

R1. From the center back (with booties facing you). Count 12 sts to the right and sl st to that st. Ch2. Hdc (to the left back to the center) in the next 24 sts. Ch2, turn.

R2. Hdc back until the the top of Ch2 in R1.Ch16, hdc in the 3^rd ch from hook down until the 1^st ch of Ch16. (in this case the free stitched will be on top). 2 sc (as edging) down the last hdc in R1

Now, we also need to do hdc to the the other side of the strap (the Ch16 that we did in R2). Start in the st next to where you sl st in R1. Sl st on that st and do the 2 sc (as edging) up (make it the same like you did in R2 down). Sc in the 1^sthdc until the last hdc in R2. Hdc in the 1^st free st up until the last st. Ch4, sl st to the other side to form a ring. Ch1, turn and make 4sc into the ring. Join with sl st. Fasten off.

Weave all ends. Sew the buttons at each side of the booties.

I know it sounds a little bit confusing. This is the reason why it took me this long to post this pattern. Haha…

Hello Kitty Face:

R1. Ch8. sc 2nd ch from the hook, sc in the next 5 sts, 3sc last st. Now working on the other side, sc in next 5 sts, 2 sc in last st, sl st.

R2. Ch1. 2sc in the same st, sc next in the next 5 sts, 2sc in the next 3s st, sc next 5 sts, 2sc in the last 2 sts, sl st.

R3. Ch1. 2sc in the same st, sc next in the next 7 sts, 2sc in the next 4s st, sc next 7 sts, 2sc in the last 3 sts, sl st.

R4. Ch1. sc in the same st, sc next in the next 8 sts, (2sc in the next st, sc in the next st)2x, (sc in the next st, 2sc in the next st)2x, sc next 7 sts, (2sc in the next st, sc in the next st)2x, sc in the next st, 2sc in the last st, sl st.

R5. Ch1. sc in the same st, 2sc in the next st, sc next in the next 9 sts, (2sc in the next st, sc in the next 2 sts)3x, 2sc in the next st, sc next 9 sts, 2sc in the next st, sc in the next 2 sts)2x, 2sc in the next st, sc in the last st, sl st.

R6. Ch1. sc next in the next 13 sts, Join with sl st. Fasten off.

For the ears. Count two stitches down the Ch1 in R6. Sl st to that st. Ch1. Sc in next st, hdc in next st, 2dc in next st, hdc in next, sc in the next 9 sts, hdc in next, 3dc in next st, and sc in the next st. Join with sl st. Fasten off.

Make 2 pieces. Weave all ends.

For the bow, you may use the crochet bow pattern here. Use smaller size of hook then sew. Make two small bows and sew one on ear part of the face.

Crochet Cherry Pink Hello Kitty Booties

Sew the eyes, mustache and nose of the hello kitty using black yarn for the eyes and yellow yarn for the nose. Use tapestry needle for sewing and weaving.

You may sew the face on the booties toe top. I usually glue the face. I just glue first felt cloth under the face to make it look harder, and then glue them on the top toe of the booties.

Crochet Rapunzel hat

I used 3-ply light pink acrylic yarn for the hat and thick yellow (Monaco Brand) for the hair. I also used hook #5.

For the crown:

Round 1: Ch4, 10 dc on the first ch, sl-st on the top of ch4.

Round 2: Ch3, dc on the same st, 2dc in each st around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Round 3: Ch3, dc on the same st, *dc on the next st, 2dc in each st around. Repeat * around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Round 4: Ch3, dc on the same st, *dc on the next 2 sts, 2dc in each st around. Repeat * around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Round 5: Ch3, dc on the same st, *dc on the next 3 sts, 2dc in each st around. Repeat * around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Round 6: Ch3, dc on the same st, *dc on the next 4 sts, 2dc in each st around. Repeat * around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Round 7: Ch3, dc on the same st, *dc on the next 5 sts, 2dc in each st around. Repeat * around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Round 8: Ch3, dc on the same st, *dc on the next 6 sts, 2dc in each st around. Repeat * around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Round 9: Ch3, dc on the same st, *dc on the next 7 sts, 2dc in each st around. Repeat * around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Round 10: Ch3, dc on the same st, *dc on the next 8 sts, 2dc in each st around. Repeat * around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Round 11: Ch3, dc on the same st, *dc on the next 9 sts, 2dc in each st around. Repeat * around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Note: add more rounds until you reach the desired head circumference.

For the brim:

Round 1: Ch3, dc on the same st, dc in each st around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Round 2: Ch3, 2dc on the same st, *skip 2 sts, 3dc on the next st. Repeat * around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Round 3: Ch3, dc on the next sts around. Sl-st on top of ch3.

Round 4-12: repeat round 2 and 3 alternately.

Round 13: Ch2, hdc on the next st and each st around. Sl-st on top of ch2.

For the hair:

With the desired length, cut yarn and tie on each st around.

For me to obtain 13 inches long, I used 30 inches yarn, get the middle portion inserted into the st and make a knot resulting into 2-15 inches long yarn.

For me to obtain 26 inches long, I used 60 inches yarn, get the middle portion inserted into the st and make a knot resulting into 2-30 inches long yarn.

With all the stitches having the hair already, divide it into 2 one for left and the other for the right side.

Divide it each side into 3 and braid it loosely until the end. Tie securely.

Make ch25 and tie on the braided hair.

For the leaves:
Make 2 pieces:

Ch15, sc on the 2^ndch from the hook, sc on the next 2, hdc on the next 3 sts, dc on the next 3 sts, tc on the next 3 sts, 7tc on the last st. working on the other side, tc on the next 3 sts, dc on the next 3 sts, hdc on the next 3 sts, sc on the next 2, sl-st on the first sc.

For the flower:

Using white yarn: Ch4, 10dc on the first chain. Sl-st on top of ch4.

Change the yarn to your desired color of petals:

First layer: Sl-st on top of ch4, *ch3, skip 1 st, sc on the next. Repeat * 4 more times.

Ch1, on the first ch loop make: sc, hdc, 5dc, hdc, sc. Do this to the rest of the loops. Sl-st on the ch1.

Second layer: sl-st at the back on the same st where you connect ch3 of the first layer.

Ch5, skip 1 st, sc on the next. Repeat 4 more times.

Ch1, on the first ch loop make: sc, hdc, 7dc, hdc, sc. Do this to the rest of the loops. Sl-st on the ch1.

Sew the flower and leaves on the desired area.

Weave all ends and that's it!

First MTO for 2014

Our break from crocheting end too soon because we can't help but accept orders before the 2nd week of January as scheduled. We are not used to not crocheting at night so I told Daddy why not accept few orders and worked on it. So let me share our first MTO for 2014.

Corchet Mickey and Minnie Mouse hats, chucks and ugg boots

As usual, Daddy A made the two hats while I made the chucks and the sole and top toe of the ugg boots. Daddy finished the strap of the ugg boots and do the anchor design as requested by my lovely client.

All the sleepless nights are worth it when you know your client is happy and satisfied with our works. And here's the proof.

Looking at the photo, I told Daddy A that the hats fit the two adorable babies well. Parang sinukat talaga.

I am looking forward to working with more Moms, and even Dads, in the next days. MTOs keep on coming and I'm always thankful with the trust our clients are giving us.
